David Gill and Tim Morgan are independent wine makers and wine merchants based in Brisbane Queensland. We created the Morgan and Gill brand in 2015, and our first wines were released in late 2016. The concept and philosophy of our wine making business is to produce a variety of interesting small batch hand crafted wines, using both modern and traditional winemaking practices.
Our wines are produced from quality grapes which are sourced from small independent vineyards in the Granite Belt region of Queensland or from carefully selected vineyards across Australia. Our wines are made and bottled using the equipment and facilities at a number of modern contract wineries.
At Morgan and Gill, we believe that the best wine comes from the best grapes and so we actively purchase our raw products from growers that use sustainable practices and ethical standards. We have the freedom to travel extensively to source the best grapes for our customers, and by using a number of contract facilities to produce our wines, allows us access to modern and state of the art production and bottling equipment, and the latest vinification products that are available to the winemaking industry.
Our winemaking philosophy and Business model gives us total control of our winemaking, and allows us to embrace fair trading, building sustainable relationships with our business partners and to adopt ethical business practices within our enterprise such as the use of eco bottles, using local products and suppliers where possible.
